Singing uses unique parts of the brain, creating more neural connections. It introduces language and grammar and rhyme patterns.

Singing creates confidence and singing in a group creates a sense of belonging.

Learning to write music symbols develops fine motor skills and an introduction to music theory.

Singing fosters creativity and an awareness of antonyms like high and low, fast and slow, loud and soft.

Listening to music can create atmosphere – calm and quiet, happy and energetic, time to get up and move.

Singing with movement develops large motor skills and memorization.

Singing requires multitasking as it involves listening and singing at the same time, as well as concentrating on pitch, rhythm, lyrics, and dynamics.
