Sometimes it feels like babysitting. Are they even getting the message? Do they even participate in worship? Does it really even matter?
Preschool ministry is building brain connections. Reading to littles and singing to littles are two of the most essential ways to increase brain growth in littles.
Large motor skills in worship and games and fine motor skills in craft are building necessary motor skills.
Hearing Bible stories and worship songs set foundations for later learning. Introduction to prayer allows them to hold responsibility for their own relationship with God.

Littles are forming heart connections in preschool ministry. They are learning to view the world through a Christian perspective of love and empathy. They are hearing foundational truths like the Bible is God’s true book and Jesus loves you and wants to be your friend.
Preschool ministry opens their eyes and hearts to Bible stories in a simple way that is creating a foundation for years of learning to come. They may hear about Noah and the Ark and think, ooh fun rainbows and fluffy animals. That’s a great start. It’s not the full story but it lays a foundation.

Even if they forget every story, throw away every craft, and don’t remember a single song, they will still take away a feeling of being loved. You loving them will equate to Jesus loving them. You are the face, the hands, the feet of Jesus and your work with littles is kingdom work of the highest level. What you’re doing matters.
