5 Ways to Incorporate a KidMin Choir
So, a choir sounds fun. But when should we have them sing?
The first answer is the obvious.
Christmas or Easter
These are the two biggies, right? These are great times because music is such a big part of these celebrations. And, these are great times to invite guests to come watch your littles sing as the messages are usually visitor friendly.
But, these aren’t the only options and sometimes these holidays are already jam packed with other content so the idea of adding a choir of kids seems overwhelming. So, what are some other options?
Advent or Lent
Advent and Lent are the times of preparation leading up to Christmas and Easter. What if instead of singing on the big holidays, you have the KidMin choir start off the holiday season? What a fun and lovely way to focus our hearts and minds on the true meaning of these seasons. And as a bonus, while your choir or band is working hard on music for the big events, they can have a bit of a break while the kiddos fill in.
Kid-Centered Events
Other times to consider incorporating a kid choir are during times when kids are already featured. How about times like Moving Up Sunday or Baby Dedication? When kids are already the focus, double down. Doing a series on Godly parenting? Perfect time to have the kids sing.
Campaigning
Is your church fundraising for a new building? Nursery equipment? Kids center? Get the kids up on stage where the adults see and hear them. When they think of giving to the program they will feel a connection.
Family Holidays
Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, even Grandparents’ Day are great times to have the kids sing. What a special way to honor families!

Kids choirs make any service special. It’s certainly not limited to just these. But I hope these ideas gave you some inspiration!
